Winds of Grace…

How can the girl who is learning what it means to “live loved in everyday Grace”, not take five minutes and write? Foggy brained or not, this topic makes my heart  fly as high as the fall leaves outside the window! Freed from branches, they take flight on autumn winds and I’d like to think the sound of them clattering about my yard is the sound of freedom.

And that’s  what Grace does. Grace, greater than where I’ve been, and what I have or haven’t done.

It sets us free.

It swirls around us, propelled by a Love so deep and great it takes away breath and wraps us tight in heart-swelling, sweeping  gusts.  Grace that goes to the very depths of us and offers a place of forgiveness and the chance to forgive.

It stands at the ready, to be received, embraced, and given…

Grace upon Grace.

I have seen such Grace in these difficult days….

Grace, in

Children who walk with me in this illness

Friends who lift me always in prayer and remember me at events I can’t attend!

A husband who gives much of himself so that things are easier for me

Hands that prepare food for our table

The never-ending  presence and comfort of our good God

It frees us to step into joy, to be who we were created to be!

How amazing is Grace!

{Five Minute Friday:Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking. Today the prompt is Grace }

Thanks to  Lisa Jo, Rachel Anne,  for hosting!

  1. This is beautiful although hard to know how you’re encountering grace in such difficult circumstances. I guess that’s where we need it most though. Thanks for sharing. Your post is as lovely as your pictures are beautiful.

  2. Thanks for sharing that grace is helping you through your cancer experience. You are such an encouragement to me. (But I am still sorry you are going through it)

  3. What a sweet, sweet, inspiring post! We have to often remind ourselves that HE is with us both in the good and the bad, seeing us through to the finish line. May His grace continue to sustain you.

  4. You are amazing. I hope you are feeling well today. I can’t remember if this is an on-Friday or an off-Friday but I love you and continually pray for you. Thank you for sharing your beautiful words with us today.

  5. Beautiful !!! xoxo

  6. Thanks for sharing and demonstrating the grace of God in and through your present circumstances. Praying for you today!

  7. Loved seeing the photos of your button twin at Allume! Maybe next year, or one of the ones after, we can both be there! I need to work on being slender enough to fly (in one seat) and then the more distant conferences will be more doable.

I just realized that when I moved my blog … I somehow managed to mess up my RSS subscriptions. E-mail subs are fine. If you would be so kind as to resubscribe I would be ever so thankful!

  8. Beautiful and inspiring!

  9. Wishing you continued Grace as you continue on this journey.

    M : )

  10. How amazing is grace… So thankful for it… and for you!!
Prayers and blessings for you today, friend!
