~Can I just take a minute to say thanks? For all of your sweet comments, your encouraging words and your prayers? They mean more than you know and I feel so blessed! Replying to each comment just isn’t possible right now, but I wanted to let you know I’ve read them all and I’m so grateful~
Sunday was the first day of Fall… Oh Autumn, how much I love this season! Cool nights, brilliant golden afternoons, colours and all things pumpkin spice. It just doesn’t get any better than a glorious Fall day!
Saturday was a full on rainy day here. Cozy and steady, it felt like summer’s last song falling around us. I am beginning to learn a few things. One is to listen to my body and plan my day accordingly. Saturday I felt wonderful, so I braved the rain and made a trip to the bulk food store. I wanted to celebrate Fall’s arrival, and I knew how I wanted to do it!
Fall Harvest Trail Mix…. sort of.
There are all manner of recipes on-line for a celebratory mix for Fall, including very healthy recipes, but when I got into the store, I threw out the list and thoroughly enjoyed creating my own recipe.
I may have been carried away by all the great harvest candy choices. I may have ~ahem~ bought more than I needed given the fact that I can’t eat this right now. So I began to package it up in cello bags . It made a lot of bags. A lot.
I was feeling creative, so I decided to put my cute punch to work making tags.
It just says Welcome Fall, right?
Want to know what’s in there?
Harvest mellow creme mix
White/Milk Chocolate swirls
(I wanted to add Fall coloured M&M’s but they’re not out in stores here yet.)
So far… we’ve given it to the neighbours, friends, the neighbours granddaughter, and anyone else I can think of.
We’ve enjoyed gifting a little Fall welcome!
What about you? Did you do anything to celebrate this new and beautiful season?
