Chalk Markers: What’s Up?

Hi there! grab a chair, and join in the conversation…

…Seems so long ago that we were hanging stockings and humming jingle bells! Christmas 2012 is swiftly fading into the rear-view and I realized I haven’t mentioned one of my favourite gifts. Some years, the best husband on the planet and I will fill a stocking for each other. This was one of those years! In amongst the gum, peppermints, magazines and mittens were these…

Aren’t they beautiful?
They work wonderfully on my big chalkboard…
Now, to be honest… I should tell you that I have been wanting these for a while. So I may have pointed them out to the best husband when we were at Michael’s to pick up a gift for our daughter. Al-right  yes. I may have picked out the set I wanted and said something like “These would go great in my stocking.” Ahem. And perhaps, I showed him a 50% off coupon that I’d printed off. And really, it makes no difference who checked out with what, the main thing is that  they disappeared once we got home, and I was super excited to see them re-appear in my stocking… Christmas magic! Whew.
The chiselled tips are great for detail, and it’s so much cleaner than regular chalk! They have three more sets in other colours, I’m thinking Easter baskets should have the same kind of magic as Christmas stockings… yes?

And that is What’s Up here. How about you? Cook anything fun? Organize a corner? Getting creative?Read, listen to, or write something we should know about? Or maybe you’re just hanging out with the laundry today(that will be me tomorrow) Link up a post or let us know in the comments. Whatever your Wednesday looks like, I’m glad you stopped by the Cafe’ to share a minute with us.

Blessings on your Wednesday,
Now it’s your turn…. Here’s the button you’ll need…

Sabrina, clean up is a breeze, just a wet cloth and I’m ready to create again!

Dianne, is the WUW button giving you trouble? I’ll have a look and make sure it’s working!

  9. They look amazing. I haven’t used them yet but I know another blogger (Frau) who recently tried them and they didn’t work for her. I am going to have to get some and try them out. : )

  11. Oh, I have never seen those but I bet they would be a great Valentine “happy” for my daughter and DIL. They are teachers and always love markers of any kind. Fun post!

  12. The Christmas that we had custody of Mallory … I bought myself a purse (that I wanted) and asked Bert to help her wrap it for me for Christmas from the two of them. He just doesn’t get, or care about, the gift part of Christmas and I knew she would be devastated if I didn’t have anything under the tree.
